Baumatic recommend that once per month you remove and clean the pump filter along with the body of the pump. In hard water areas this is very important as limescale may build up in the pump and with objects like buttons, coins and fluff stop the pump from emptying out the water leading to a breakdown. It is likely that a small amount of water my be left in your pump so place a towel or suitable cloth down on the floor under your machine before starting the job.
start by pulling the lower kick plate cover found at the bottom of your machine

next turn the pump filter anticlockwise to unscrew and remove it

remove any debris and limescale

Once the pump is clean dry the inside of the pump and the filter and screw it back together. Check for leaks the next time you use the machine. You have now successfully maintained the pump!
