Gas burners won't light

If the flame won't light check that there is a gas supply into your home. It may just be because the credit has run low on your pre payment meter.

It is possible to remove the burner caps and flame spreaders for cleaning. Any build up of burnt on food or other deposits may stop the spark igniting the gas. Remove the pan stands and then lift off the flame spreader cap and burner for cleaning in warm soapy water or with one of our superb cleaning products that can be purchased from the spares section of our website.

Please make sure the hob has COOLED DOWN prior to cleaning.

Most gas hobs need to have an electrical supply to make the spark that lights the flame. Check the fuse in the plug which will be found behind the appliance or in a cupboard next to it in most cases.

the fuse is located as shown, simply prize it out and fit a new fuse (rated at 13 amps)
