Yes the appliance requires front ventilation. There is a white grid on the bottom which needs to be exposed to the ambient air.
The tumble dryer has a red reset button, located on the back of the appliance. if there is a lack of ventilation, then the red button will need to be pressed. The cut out at the front will need to be of the dimensions as shown:
