Dirty dishes

Try using the pre wash cycle

If you are loading dishes into your dishwasher and not switching it on immediately, and food deposits will bake dry and stick to the dishes.

Pop the machine on a pre wash each time you load it to rinse off any food deposits. The rinse hold or pre wash is a cycle designed to rinse dishes being left inside the machine before you switch it on the full cycle later on in the day. It only lasts a few minutes but will flush away food and liquids.

Rinse food deposits off before loading

Left over food on plates will clog up the filters and spray arms during use, so its good to scrape food off into your bin and rinse food deposits off under the sink before loading them into the dishwasher

Clean the spray arms

The spray arms in your Baumatic dishwasher will need to rotate freely in order to clean the dishes. They do this by spraying water out of the holes in the body of the spray arm.

Have you added salt and rinse aid?

Have you topped up your salt and rinse aid? In hard water areas you may need to add salt to help your detergent tablet cope with lime scale and impurities found in hard water. Check the container in the bottom of the machine has been topped up and that the water hardness setting is correct. In hard water areas the setting may need to be increased.

If you are not using 'all in one' tablets you may need to add rinse aid which is designed to prevent streaky marks building up on the dishes and glasses. Add the rinse aid to the compartment found in your dispenser and adjust the dosage selector until you get good cleaning results. Turn towards 6 or 7 to increase the dose.

Do not add rinse aid if you are using 'all in one' tablets
